On Saturday, April 13th, the Final 9 gathered to finish what they started, in an attempt to win $400 cash! When it was all said and done, the Top 5 were Dan Stepanian, Joan Lazar, Hunter Stepanian, David Mirshak, and Mark Blackwood.
Sadly, Mark bubbled the chop and the Top 4 (top 3 actually) decided to chop the prize money. Little did David know that Dan, Joan, and Hunter decided to only take $50 (Their initial buy-in) and give the remaining $250 to David for DJ. Such a gracious gesture, in true Misfit fashion. Mark didn’t go home empty handed as he received his choice, or Mary’s choice of a beautiful piece of artwork created and donated by Evelyn Niehaus. Hunter and David had the choice of a piece of artwork as well. If you haven’t checked out Evelyn’s work, I highly recommend you do, she does wonderful work and has a beautifully artistic soul. Thank you to everyone who showed up and donated your time/money to make this event a successful one for DJ. With all your efforts we raised a total of $1800! I’m proud to be associated with a group of folks who really care about others and make the effort to show that care.
