Dale Shuman Takes Another Shot at WSOP Glory: After Misfits League Breakthrough Dale Shuman is making moves on the big stage.

On June 5, 2025, Dale took his seat in Event #171 of the 2025 World Series of Poker — the $70 Warmup to Colossus No-Limit Hold’em Landmark Satellite. This isn’t just any tournament; it’s one of the most accessible entries into the Colossus, drawing grinders, dreamers, and chaos-loving card sharks from all over the globe.

For Dale, this moment is the continuation of a wild poker ride that started earlier this spring. He earned his WSOP satellite seat by finishing in 2nd place at the 2025 Misfits Poker League Spring Invitational, a gritty local league showdown that’s quickly building a reputation for churning out talented and fearless players.

His finish there earned him a coveted entry into the WSOP satellite and a shot at something much bigger.

But the path through this satellite wasn’t smooth. As Dale himself put it:“Wow, this satellite is a s&*t show… Level 5 (16bb), I jam with K-J in the cutoff, called by K-10, K-10-6 flop…”

While this hand wasn't his last, it’s the kind of hand that makes or breaks tournaments, and also the kind that leaves players shaking their heads long after the chips are raked. Getting it in ahead and watching a dominated hand spike the flop is a reminder of the brutal variance poker players sign up for, but also the resilience it takes to grind through it.

Whether or not Dale spins this satellite into a Colossus seat, the fact remains: he's already a standout in one of the country’s scrappiest poker scenes, and his name is officially in the books at the 2025 World Series of Poker.

One satellite down. Many hands to go.
