Rules Clarification-Mystery Bonus

Good Afternoon Everyone,

There's been a need to clarify the inner workings of the Mystery Bonus as stated in the MPL Rules and Tournament Information.

I will NOT be updating the language in the rules, this post will serve as the update.

Clarification on Rule 3)h)iii) of the MPL Rules and Tournament Information

Rule 3)h)iii):

Members of Misfits Management are not eligible for the Mystery Bonus.

Eligibility of Management

Misfits Management may not be selected as an initial Mystery Bonus. If they are selected as a Mystery Bonus, the Tournament host will randomly re-select the bonus holder for that table. This process WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED AND WILL REMAIN PRIVATE WITH THE DEALERS OF THE GAME.

Management Bounties

When the original Mystery Bounty is eliminated by League Management, that player will assume the role of the Mystery Bounty. This will be done in secret and no one but the dealers will know about it. If management member assumes the Mystery Bounty and is already on their second entry of the tournament (re-entry), the bounty will be awarded upon their elimination from the game. This is the only time that the bounty will be awarded on the players final elimination.

Bounty Revealed

If a Mystery Bounty is accidentally revealed by any league dealer or management during the course of a tournament, the Mystery Bonus for that particular bounty will be called dead and removed from play for the remainder of the game. 

Bonus Carry-Over

Once the bonus is dead in the original game, it will carry over to the following week at that same venue and be awarded to the first FULL HOUSE of 9’s full or better, of the night. If this bonus is not awarded by the end of the game in the “Carry-over Week”, the bonus will then be null and void, removed completely from play.

Management Victory

If League Management is the Mystery Bonus and they win the tournament, the Bonus will be treated as if it were accidentally revealed using the exact process stated above.
