This is a question I have been getting recently and since I've fielded it from several members of the League, I feel it's important to let everyone know. So here it goes!
The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association(CTIA) and the Federal Communications Commision (FCC) have coordinated efforts to regulate the content that is sent via text(SMS) by businesses who operate in the U.S.
Because of this, any material that is related to gaming or gambling is 100% restricted by the CTIA.
This means any mention or promotion of "poker", free or otherwise, or any other type of gambling is blocked and won't be sent to the intended receipients. Businesses do face penalties for attempting to bypass these regulations.
While we find it to be a difficult situation to overcome, we respect the CTIA's and the FCC's ruling this matter and will continue to be 100% in compliance.
I hope this helps clarify any questions as to why you don't see links in our text messages.
If you have any further questions or conserns about the CTIA, please check the links below for more info. Thanks.
