In today’s poker tournaments, the min-raise has become the standard opening size. That shift dramatically impacts how the big blind (BB) should play—especially because the BB already has money invested and receives the best pot odds at the table.

In the best interest of the game and fairness to everyone during the holiday, the Point Multipler game that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 24 at Joe's Bar will now be a regular points game. The Point Multiplier game will NOW be on Wednesday, December 17. All other Point Multiplier games for December will remain the same. December 26-30. Today is a great day! From November 7-21 the Misfits Poker League held an imprompto food drive in light of the November 1st SNAP deficiency.

On Sunday, November 23, 49 players converged on The Bonfire to support a worthy cause. 5 full tables, with shenanigans to be had. It was a full four-and-a-half hour event that involved a high hand, First-Out, suck-outs, and bad beats galore. We also just had a great time, enjoying each others company and laughing to whole way though.

The Misfits Family is proud to bring it's annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive. Starting Monday, November 24th, we will be collecting toys and cash donations for the Toys for Tots organization.

Beginning Friday, November 7th though Friday, November, 21st, we will be collecting non-perishable, shelf stable food items for 3 Square, a local food bank organization here in Las Vegas. This will be done at all Misfits Poker League locations, during league game times.

It ws a spooky evening of fun, laughter, and thrills as 25 players gathered Friday night for the annual Halloween Costume Contest at Putter's-Pecos. While many wore costumes, there were some that allowed their spooky poker play to dominate on the felt. For the contest, the winner would receive a $35 gift certificate to the Misfits Merchandise Shop and the Runner-Up would get a 3000 Chip bonus to use in a future regular season game.

On Wednesday, October 29, the Misfits Family gathered to say their goodbye's to a dear friend, Pam Thomas. She has decided to move back to New Jersey to be closer to her sister.
